Begin in-depth training in the core aspects of contemporary neuroscience, from sensation and sensory processing, to understanding complex brain functions and artificial intelligence, ready for an exciting career in research, healthcare, industry, or a PhD. Our neuroscientists will teach you the core techniques in experimental cognitive psychology before giving you opportunities to apply them. These could include: We’ll also introduce you to the core problems in computational and cognitive neuroscience and artificial neural networks. Explore your modules in detail The biggest part of the course is your research project in cognitive neuroscience. Here you’ll work with one of our world-leading experts on a research topic ranging from theoretical to more applied cognitive or computational neuroscience. You could even have the opportunity to collect and analyse real-life cognitive brain science data, using modern equipment employed in healthcare and scientific research around the world. This project will give you the chance to put the new research techniques you’ve mastered in computational neuroscience into practice, while exploring ideas at the cutting-edge of cognitive neuroscience, ready to present your findings at our summer postgraduate students' conference.
