Advance beyond standard financial concepts and deepen your understanding of theory and modern economic quantitative techniques. This course will train you in the academic and technical skills needed to evaluate market trends, banking policies and global finance. Guided by research-active academics, you’ll deepen your expertise across key areas while choosing from a range of modules to customise your degree to your aspirations and interests. The core topics of this course include: Towards the end of the course, you'll complete an independent research dissertation that gives you the opportunity to tackle a complex, real-world monetary challenge of your choice. You’ll be supported by one of our academics with relevant expertise to help guide you through the process. Upon graduation, you will have developed an advanced portfolio of technical and analytical skills that will support you in securing a career in industry or in undertaking further research. Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in Economics or a degree which meets the module requirements below. You should have studied one module from each of the following four module areas: We assess each application on the basis of the applicant’s preparation and achievement as a whole.
