课程概览

Sustainability and energy innovation are at the heart of the global engineering challenge. This programme prepares you to address critical issues across energy systems, environmental protection and resource management. You’ll develop practical and analytical skills to design, assess and optimise sustainable technologies, systems and processes, preparing you to address real-world challenges across the energy and environmental sectors. This course is open to those with a science and engineering background wanting to specialise in sustainability and environmental engineering. You’ll have the flexibility to tailor your studies to your interests and career goals through two specialist routes. One route focuses on environmental and chemical engineering approaches to sustainability and energy, with options including bioresources, low-carbon technologies and nuclear engineering. The other explores mechanical, aerospace, civil and environmental engineering perspectives, with options including advanced energy and power, propulsion, urban stormwater management and regenerative design. Taught by leading experts actively engaged in cutting-edge research, you’ll gain practical experience across areas such as life cycle assessment, energy systems, environmental engineering and low-carbon technologies. Through a combination of taught modules, practical work and project-based learning, you’ll develop the technical knowledge and analytical skills needed to evaluate sustainable solutions and make informed engineering decisions. You’ll undertake a substantial research project, under the guidance of an academic supervisor to investigate a sustainability or energy challenge in depth.Your project could involve industrially based problem-solving, laboratory- or computational-based research, or the development of new processes and ideas. Through project work, lab-based research and industry exposures, you’ll learn to solve real-world challenges, preparing you for a career in engineering, co

录取要求
